A native of Princeton, NJ, Warren Smith earned Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from Yale. Past affiliations have included the Hillier Group in Princeton, Herbert S. Newman Associates in New Haven, and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and May & Pinska Architects in New York City. With interests ranging from land use planning to historic preservation,Warren serves on the Dutchess County Planning Board and on the board of directors of Hudson River Heritage. Warren is retired from the Navy with the rank of Captain, after twenty-five years combined active and reserve service. A member of the American Institute of Architects, his previous community service includes the Town of Rhinebeck Planning Board, the Town Comprehensive Plan Committee, and the Rhinebeck Historical Society.
